Little Wave

Like the little wave story, I have to always be optimistic and think of the big picture... Try hard, but not too hard, my friends... We all have our little burden to carry.

The story is about a little wave, bobbing along in the ocean, having a grand old time. He's enjoying the wind and the fresh air -- until he notices the other waves in front of him, crashing against the shore.

'My God, this is terrible,' the wave says. "Look what's going to happen to me!'

Then along comes another wave. It sees the first wave, looking grim, and it says to him, "Why do you look so sad?'

The first wave says, 'You don't understand! We're all going to crash! all of us waves are going to be nothing! Isn't it terrible?'

The second wave says, 'No, you don't understand. You're not a wave, you're part of the ocean.'

买了本书 - 幸福就像狗尾巴。用爸爸买的新相机拍下来了，呵呵。XD

有人说：

Late Bloomer

Well, that was rather disappointing~ I guess there's always a "first time" for everything. My life road's 1st biggest fail. I'm not gonna easily give up do i? i mean for the big picture. I'm a late bloomer, currently undecided and hanging. LOL. I guess that's just a teenage phase... haha.

The upside is that i know that there's many other paths awaits. And a new stage of live, a new gang of friends waiting for me in some other place. haha. Well, I now have to go settle things up with my current gang. Drinking old cheap bottles of alcohol. Sit talking up all night. Saying things we haven't for a while... Smiling but close to tears.

Irony, isn't it? when life gives you lemon, the sky often blows wind and starts to rain now... haha. Now would you excuse me, I got some research to do on what's next for me. =)

Quirks

If you don’t watch How I Met Your Mother, you’re missing out on some big laughs. It’s a refreshingly un-reality-based sitcom that’s not only full of brilliantly current writing, but also some surprisingly deep insights about life, dating and love.

There's one episode, Ted ended up on a blind date with the same exact person seven years later. It took both of them a minute to realize, “We’ve been on this date before!” Yet, as true optimists who decided to gain something good from their date no matter what, they took turns telling each other what turned them off about each other the first time around so they could learn about themselves for the future—i.e. she didn’t like that Ted pointed out typos in the menu and made a lame joke about how not sharing the oysters would be “shellfish.” He didn’t like that she likes to dress her cats in costumes. In the end, as the pair tried to figure out whether or not to have a go of it this time, Ted said this to his date:

I just remembered why I didn’t call you. I like finding typos in menus. And I know my shellfish pun is stupid, but the truth is, I’m not suddenly going to stop making stupid jokes. Shouldn’t we hold out for the person who doesn’t just tolerate our little quirks, but actually kinda likes them?

Yes yes yessss! I know that some people love to say that choosing a partner is all about compromise, but it’s about possibly compromising later—once you’ve found someone you feel is compromising for. But you shouldn’t have to compromise who you are. You shouldn’t feel you have to hold back saying things, or feel you’re not allowed to love your cats, or think it’s no big deal if someone doesn’t get your jokes. Why? Because it’s a big deal if someone doesn’t get your jokes!
Your jokes are a representation of who you are. What you find funny is a combination of what you’ve learned in life, how your brain works, what your heart feels and what will make you laugh every single day for the rest of your life. Do you really think it’s okay to settle for someone who doesn’t get what makes you laugh for the rest of your life? Nothing should come between you and what makes you laugh

So do as Ted says: Hold out for the person who doesn’t just tolerate your quirks, but absolutely definitely likes them. Because when you’re totally being who you are, that’s when you’ll meet the person who’s totally right for you.

The Three Days Rule

Three-Days Rule. It's what people say when you just met a person and get her/his number, you should just wait 3 days to call that person. You know, in order to show that you're not that desperate or lame. Act casual or what so ever... LOL

Barney: Jesus waited THREE days to come back to life. It was perfect! If he had only waited ONE day, a lot of people wouldn't have even heard he died. They'd be all, "Hey Jesus, what up?" and Jesus would probably be like, "What up? I DIED yesterday!" and they'd be all, "Uhh, you look pretty alive to me, dude..." and then Jesus would have to explain how he was resurrected, and how it was a miracle, and the dude'd be like "Uhh okay, whatever you say, bro..." And he's not gonna come back on a SATURDAY. Everybody's busy, doing chores, workin' the loom, trimmin' the beard, NO. He waited the perfect number of days, THREE. Plus it's SUNDAY, so everyone's in church already, and they're all in there like "Oh no, Jesus is DEAD", and then BAM! He bursts in the back door, runnin' up the aisle, everyone's totally psyched, and FYI, that's when he invented the high five. That's why we wait three days to call a woman, because that's how long Jesus wants us to wait.... True story...



p.s: this is just the reference from HIMYM, but barney mean that HE invented the high five when HE was so happy and giving everybody high fives while running into the church.. XD

好人卡是什么意思呢？经过了刚才的Google下。哇，找到了不在想象中的答案。。。
